Breeding Guide

Post by PokemonGuideMasters » Sat Nov 25, 2017 5:24 pm

Breeding

Where do I breed at?
You breed at the Daycare.

Where is the Daycare?
The daycare is at Route 3

How do you know if Pokemon are compatible?

If they are not legendary Pokemon, baby Pokemon, or pseudo Pokemon. This includes Dratini, Larvitar, Gible, and Bagon.

If they are in the same egg group.

If they are opposite genders.

How long should it take to get an egg?
This depends on if they get along.

“These two seem to get along” = Around 1 hour

“These two don’t seem to like eachother very much” = Around 3 hours

“Not compatible” = Never. They are not in the same egg group, are legendary, baby, pseudo, or they are of the same gender.

What are the different egg groups?

1. Monster
2. Water 1
3. Bug
4. Flying
5. Field
6. Fairy
7. Grass
8. Human-Like
9. Water 3
10. Mineral
11. Amorphous
12. Water 2
13. Ditto - Can breed with any group regardless of gender. Can not breed with Undiscovered group though.
14. Dragon
15. Undiscovered - Unable to breed

Pseudo-legendary Pokemon like Larvitar cannot be bred in this game. Also, other grade S Pokemon, like legendary Pokemon, cannot breed either.

You basically answered your own question. You don't have an originally owned Tyrunt to breed...

To produce an egg, all criteria below must be met:
  • Both Pokemon are originally owned by you.
  • Pokemon are of opposite genders. (You met this)
  • Pokemon must be in the same egg group. (You met this)
If all of these are true, then the amount of time it takes to produce an egg will vary. Just as a reminder, your account needs to be online in order for the time to count towards producing an egg. This time online does not need to be all at once but can be split between sessions.
  • If the Pokemon "seem to get along" then it will take 15 min - 120 minutes to produce an egg.
  • If the Pokemon "don’t seem to like each other very much" then it will take 1 hour - 6 hours to produce an egg. (This is the case for you)
Other troubleshooting things:
  • If your account is chat banned then the daycare system will not function and your Pokemon will not produce an egg.
  • If you are using a public device or at a public location (work, school, library, cafe, etc.), this may cause issues with your connection to the game and the daycare will not function properly so your Pokemon will not produce an egg.
If you have done everything and your Pokemon still has not produced an egg, you can try removing both parents from the daycare and putting them back into the daycare to "reset" everything and try again.
