maybe you should make it so you have to go to bed and it will turn day or an option that turn day time for real in the game

An alternative suggestion would be having a countdown clock saying how long it will be day/night. That way, people wouldn't be asking and having to use the /time command, then trying to figure out the intervals (3:00, 9:00, 15:00, 21:00).

This is just more of a convenience suggestion so people can figure out what's going on. Heck, I would go for an in-game timer on the HUD so I don't have to go to the Player Chat for the /time command, then go back to the Help Chat to answer these type of questions...

Or you could make day = night = 9hrs long.
