Catching fainted pokemon

Post by KayPup » Tue Aug 27, 2019 4:11 pm

I think that you should be able to catch pokemon that have fainted when you are hunting Pokemon in the wild. I find it really annoying when I'm hunting a rare Pokemon and I accidentally faint it and I have to start my search all over again. Also, whenever I want to hunt wild Pokemon, I have to change my team to weaker Pokemon so I don't faint it.
    Thanks for reading!
P.S. I'm somewhat of a noob so if I'm missing something in the game that answers this suggestion please let me know.

To avoid fainting Pokemon, you should have a Pokemon that knows the move "False Swipe", which decreases the opponent's HP to 1 AT MOST (meaning, if the opponent has 100 HP and your Pokemon can only damage 80 HP then the move will only damage 80 HP, but if your Pokemon can damage 500 HP then the move will only damage 99 HP at most). Use this guide to see which Pokemon can learn False Swipe: https://pokemondb.net/move/false-swipe.

You can also use Sleep Powder. If you are hunting Beldum, GET Gengar with Hypnosis and another Ghost-Type which has False Swipe so it wouldn't hurt itself.

Even though there are tricks to catching wild pokemon, I still think it would be a good idea to be able to catch fainted pokemon.
